Ever needed to start out your personal clothing firm? Its not as difficult as you think. What do you completely want?

1. A decent emblem
2. Creative ideas and graphics – Design Expertise
3. A singular, blank apparel provider
4. An honest display printer
5. A Line Sheet to show potential consumers
6. Sales and promotional talent.

Which do you think is most necessary? Its obviously design expertise you say? Are you Joking? You have to be joking. Have you ever stepped out of the home lately? Have you seen Von Dutch clothing? Crayon weilding Chimpanzes produce better designs. Furthermore, I imagine the monkeys are more sanitary, but I digress.

#6 is clearly an important element. You can create an entire line of vogue ahead, stunning clothes but if you cannot pitch it – no one will ever see it (excluding your mother after all). So, until you need a closet filled with your improbable designs, ask yourself the next two questions:

Can I promote?

In different words……can I hit the pavement with my line sheet and stroll into every boutique clothing store I can find? Then will I harass the hell out of retail clothes store buyers so that they’ll try to squeeze 5 minutes of time in for me at Magic 06′ (Clothes Convention) ?

Will I be capable of make knowledgeable presentation to a Nordstroms buyer?

Can I promote?

Do I’ve and artistic viral or gureilla advertising and marketing concepts to get this label kickstarted?

If the reply to both of these questions is No – you higher get some help. Namely, discover somebody passionate for fashion who also happens to be ridiculously outgoing, nice on the telephone and aggressive as hell. Lastly, (and superficially) it could help in case your sales rep is hot.

I know, how horrible…..so sorry, buy I didn’t say anything about this being an equal alternative business.

That being stated, let me welcome you the shallow end of the pool….. i.e. the fashion world.

Good luck with your label!
